Woke’s very original remix of radical subjectivity - ‘my truth,’ etc. - and radical communitarian essentialism - each group and subgroup needs to be represented, almost to the demographic decimal point. This seems to me both its greatest strength and its greatest weakness in the sense that it makes it so easily ‘co-optable.’
